Better in Person.
A series of five short plays by five fantastic women written for and set on a Zoom call.
5 plays, £5.
Monday 31st August 2020, 8pm
Better in Person is inspired by conversations that would be ‘better in person’ but are happening online due to the lockdown. The audience are invited to be an online fly on the wall witnessing these intimate, beautiful, sad, uncomfortable, hilarious and always very human conversations, as they take place in real time.
Following the success of the pilot event, which featured plays from Charlotte Jones and Natasha Brown, and actors including Sharon Small and Cherrelle Skeete, Burn Bright will commission five Black women to pen five brand new short plays for this unique event.
Abigail Sewell (I Am [Not] Kanye West, Bunker Theatre) returns to direct and the event will be hosted by Co-Founder, Tori Allen-Martin.
